shannon kaye launched her business to reflect her personal vision for Design, Color, and Decorative Painting. Shortly after her introduction to the market place, Shannon was asked to contribute to the pottery barn kidscatalog and the local press embraced her as the color expert and decorative painter to watch. “Obviously, Kaye is not your ordinary room painter. Shannon is truly an artist.”

Today, Shannon is host and designer of fresh coat on diy network, appears as a special correspondent for Lifetime channel’s THE BALANCING ACT, shares her expertise as guest host for tbs movie and a makeover and lends her opinion and know-how about color and sustainable home design on several corporate websites. And she is also in the midst of crafting a new home decorating book for the do-it-yourself audience.

fresh coat is a makeover show that uses only paint to completely transform a room with do-it-yourself homeowners. Her work on this inspirational show has lead to numerous opportunities and she is now a design spokesperson for national companies including SHUR-LINE painting tools, CertaPro Painters, and Armstrong Ceilings.

Recently, Shannon was invited to create one her original specialty finishes for Benjamin Moore’s brochure - 2010 Colors For your Home - which will be in stores nationally January of 2010. She has also joined CertaPro Painters as Paint and Color Expert and will offer advice and information on their website, and was commissioned to complete paintings for CARLOS SANTANA’s new restaurant,Maria Maria which is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In addition, Shannon volunteers her time and talent to philanthropy by design providing color consulting to non-profit groups such as MANDELA MARKETPLACE in Oakland, California. She selected colors and finishes for MANDELA FOODS COOPERATIVE, a new inner-city market which offers high quality foods and local farm produce at affordable prices.

Shannon has been featured on talk shows such as the View from the Bay and in national magazines including Sunset Magazine, Family Circle, and HOME COMPANION MAGAZINE She has made appearances on diy network’s BLOG CABIN and a new series on HGTV titled SUPERSCAPES.
